Hume Studies is an interdisciplinary scholarly journal dedicated to publishing important work bearing on the thought of David Hume. The Journal is receptive to a variety of topics, methods, and approaches, so long as the work contributes to understanding Hume’s thought, meets the highest standards of scholarship, and demonstrates mastery of relevant scholarly literature. Articles may be submitted in English, French, German, or Italian. The Journal is published by The Hume Society in April and November.

Subscriptions
Individual subscriptions are included with an annual Hume Society membership. Membership fees are set on the following scale based on individual income:
Under $50,000/student: free
$50-75,000: $20/year
$75-100,000: $40/year
$100,000+: $60/year
For five-year memberships, the fees are:
$50-75,000 salary: $80
$75-100,000: $170
$100,000+: $250
Institutional subscriptions are $60 (U.S.) per year, plus postage for subscribers outside North America. Payment must be in US$. VISA, MASTERCARD, and DISCOVER are accepted.

The Hume Studies cover incorporates David Hume’s bookplate as found in a copy of L’Abbé Gabriel Bonnot De Mably’s Observations sur l’histoire de France, Geneva, 1765. A flying banner at the top of the bookplate bears the motto “TRUE TO THE END.”
